Sammy Elliott and his family
Please be in prayer for Sammy, his family, and our church.
Sammy Elliott grew up in
Levelland. First Baptist Church played a major role in the
development of his spiritual life. He accepted Christ at
the age of nine and surrendered to the ministry at the age
of fifteen. Sammy was licensed to the ministry by First
Baptist of Levelland in November of 1989.
Sammy earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from
Hardin Simmons University in 1994. He went on to earn a
Master of Divinity degree and a Doctor of Ministry degree
from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1997 and
2004 respectively.
While finishing his Master's degree, Sammy was pastor of
Valley View Baptist Church in Nocona, Texas for fourteen
months. He was pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Colorado
City, Texas for eight years and has been the pastor at
First Baptist Church in Seymor, Texas for just over four
years.
Sammy and his wife Anita were married in 1994. They have
two children. Jeffrey is eleven and in the fifth grade.
Lauren is eight and in the third grade.
