Today was our final day. At sports camp we had a
mega-relay, some water games, and we presented the
Gospel message in a very clear and easy to understand
way. It was hard leaving those kids today, but we feel
like we planted some seeds in their lives and provided
a great outreach for El Sembrador. At the construction
site we finished painting the outside of the house and
made a dent in the mudding of the drywall joints. Be
praying for another group to come and complete the
project soon. Probably the most exciting part of the
day was when four children accepted Jesus into their
lives during a makeshift VBS under a tent in front of
the new house. Several from our group instantly bonded
with the children in the neighborhood...playing games,
singing songs, eating snacks, making crafts, and
sharing Jesus with them. I can't think of a better way
to finish a mission trip! Thanks for your prayers. Be
praying for us as we make the long drive home tomorrow.

Today was definitely an eventful day. Early this
morning our construction crew, 6 of our students, and
Amie left to roof the house. Amie and the students then
met the rest of our sports camp team for sports camp at
9:00 (after finishing the roof in a record hour and a
half!). We had 33 kids at sports camp today. 8 of those
were new today. The construction crew continued to make
great progress on the house getting most of the inside
covered in drywall. Despite having bus problems we
managed to get all of our sports camp team to the
construction site in time for lunch compliments of the
Wienerschnitzel-mobile and in time to coat the exterior
of the house with primer before it rained...and
rained...and rained. After a soggy, but refreshingly
cool, afternoon we gathered back at Grandview for
supper and Angie's INCREDIBLE banana pudding. We ended
the evening with a time of prayer and sharing as a
group which is always a great time. Hopefully we will
all sleep well tonight and be ready for another great
day tomorrow. Thanks for your prayers!

Today was day one at the sports camp. We had 29 kids
there--many of them were kids that were at the sports
camp last summer. It was really great to see them
again. Our team was incredible! Everything went
smoothly, even when we had to adapt at the last second
in a few areas. The construction crew continued to make
progress on the house. The inside is almost entirely
insulated. Our students are going early tomorrow
morning to roof it before sports camp, then tomorrow
afternoon we will paint the exterior. Tomorrow will be
a long day for everybody. Pray for energy. Enjoy the
pics from today.

Today has been a great day of worship, serving,
fellowship, rest, and planning. We worshipped with the
congregation at El Sembrador this morning then they
served us a wonderful pot-luck style lunch. The
construction crew made incredible progress before
sending 10 guys back to Levelland! The house is about 2
days ahead of schedule! We will start the sports camp
in the morning. Thanks for your prayers.

While one group of 22 people traveled to El Paso
Saturday another group was hard at work building a new
house for the Padilla family in Westway, just west of
El Paso. By the end of the day the group that was
traveling had made it safely and the group building the
house had made unbelievable progress on the house. We
threw a block party at El Sembrador church with pastor
Adan Medina. Lots of families showed up for snow cones,
hot dogs, live music, and the bounce house! It was a
great way to kick off the sports camp. Thanks for you
prayers. Keep checking back here for daily updates and
don't forget to follow us on twitter (jbrianhill and
samgriffin) for up to the minute updates
throughout the day on your phone or computer.
